Here is an instruction on how to create ad groups:

  1. Select a campaign from the menu. 
  2. If it isn’t already chosen, click the Ad groups tab. 
  3. Click on the + Ad group above the reporting table.
  4. In the ad group editor, type the name of the ad group. 
  5. Complete the ad group settings as outlined below. 
  6. Click the Save button.

You’ll need to add keywords once you’ve created the ad group. These may be filled in one at a time in the online interface or by using the Google Ads Editor App’s Plus button. Keywords must be Phrase match (quotation marks “” around each word), Exact match (brackets [] around each word), Broad match modified (plus sign + in front of each word), or Broad match modified (plus sign + in front of each word) (no extra marks needed). You may configure how the word answers to certain search queries with each match type.
