Structure Explorer And Site Audit With Ahrefs
11.02.2022
Structure explorer
Structure explorer Ahrefs is a part of the Site Audit function of the Ahrefs tool.
How to use the Structure Explorer report
In this report, we show you the distribution of URLs based on specific categories.
Click on any folders to see the breakdown of the URL distribution for each subfolder.
Hover over any path name to apply that folder as a segment.
Below are some actionable ways to use this report.
Understand your website’s architecture
Click on the “Depth” filter and switch to the “Data table” view.
You’ll see the number of URLs by depth, which is the distance from one of the seed points.
Site Audit Ahrefs
Site Audit crawls all the pages it finds on your website – then provides an overall SEO health score, visualizes key data in charts, flags all possible SEO issues and provides recommendations on how to fix them.
You can also find:
- Issues and Recommendations
- Easy access to more details
Check your website for 100+ pre-defined SEO issues
Site Audit automatically groups issues by type and pulls printable reports – all fully visualized with colored charts.
Check for issues related to:
- Performance: slow pages, too-large CSS or HTML
- HTML tags: missing, duplicate or non-optimal length of title tags, meta descriptions and H1 tags
- Social tags: incomplete or missing Open Graph tags and Twitter cards
- Content quality: low word counts, unconsolidated duplicate pages
- Localization: all issues with Hreflang
- Incoming links: detecting orphan pages, issues with nofollow links
- Outgoing links: detecting links to redirects, broken pages
- Resources: issues with images, JavaScript, CSS
- External pages
Explore your data any way you want
Make anything you want out of the data from our crawler – starting with creating custom filters based on numerous parameters, or adding custom issues.
Then tell Site Audit what you want to see. From displaying data on a specific property for a segment of pages to screening it out entirely across every crawled page, Data Explorer does it all.
Note: Ahrefs’ backlink and organic traffic metrics are all integrated and can be enabled for display. No more cross-referencing data; you’ll have all the SEO metrics that you care about in one place.
With Data Explorer, you’re a simple click away from seeing every detail of each specific URL. This includes incoming and outgoing links, hreflang, pagination, duplicates and resources.
Track your progress with ease
Ahrefs’ Site Audit is entirely cloud based. That means:
- No need for installation
- Mobility of data – log in anytime for access, wherever you are
- No processing costs on your end
- Automatic save of each crawl
- Automatic software updates
Schedule daily, weekly or monthly crawls for your projects – Site Audit will run these automatically and save each crawl.
See updates in your progress in between crawls with a simple toggle, then export your data with a click.
Execute JavaScript while crawling
Ahrefs’ Site Audit can render JavaScript-generated content on any website page.
JavaScript execution lets Site Audit analyze pages and links that depend on JavaScript, resulting in the most accurate audit. This is especially valuable for sites using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
Crawl a mobile website
Stay on top of Google’s mobile-first indexing rollout.
In Site Audit, you can choose to crawl the mobile version of your website by selecting from one of our pre-configured mobile user agents.
